FOH UPDATES | DECEMBER 2009

FOH KIDS

The kids are such a delight. On our recent trip, we laughed with them, sang with them, danced with them, and broke bread with them (actually, it was more like cake; we had a big ‘Jesus Loves you Party’!). FOH is working on building the kids a new class room, which would cost us about $200. The class room they are presently in, measures about 6x5 feet. All eleven of them somehow manage to fit into this tiny space. Why we feel the need to build them a new class room, is that the classroom they are presently in, is about 6 feet away from the open pit latrine they use as a toilet. So, more than anything else, it is the poor sanitary condition they are in is the biggest of our concerns.

The Kids have a new teacher by the name of Lucy. She is a dear sister in the Lord. Unfortunately, Susan, their previous teacher, a young convert from Islam to Christianity, is no longer with them. Her Muslim uncle and guardian, was not too pleased that she was providing these young ones with education and discipleship in their faith. Please keep Susan in your prayers.
