FOH Kids
FACE OF HARVEST (FOH) sponsors a little elementary school in the Ndondoro, community of Nairobi, Kenya. The kids are such a delight. It is always a pleasure to laugh with them, sing with them, and dance with them!
However, the reality of their living conditions is quite grim. Ndondoro, is the residential capital of the notorious Mungiki Sect. The “Mungiki” as they are known, are a political-religious group and are a banned criminal organization in Kenya. The sect has varying dubious beliefs; however what is of interest, is that they reject: “Westernization and all things they believe to be the trappings of colonialism, including Christianity.” Some of these children have parents directly involved in the sect.
The need to minister to these precious young ones is apparent. FOH is working on a few projects, of which we would encourage you to be a part of:
- FOH is working on securing a steady income for the teachers, so that they can focus on the needs of the children, rather than have to fend for their lively hood through conducting other small scale business ventures.
- FOH would like to provide the children with brand new uniforms, and school supplies. In addition, FOH would like sponsor the children with regular visits to a local clinic for health checkups.
